Conference / Workshops
The conference was organised by the Latvian Museum Association, the National Library of Latvia and the Latvian Librarians’ Association in cooperation with the Estonian and Lithuanian Museum and Librarians’ Associations and the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO.
Our virtual spaces allowed participants from all over the Baltic states to meet and mingle on several yachts cruising the Baltic Sea.
On two consecutive workshop days, connected virtual workshop spaces allowed several workshops to be run in parallel. The workshops focused on learning about the tools, models and frameworks that can help museums and libraries plan, monitor, evaluate and communicate their work with the Sustainability Development Goals. The virtual workshop spaces encouraged through their spatial organization and participatory tools the participants to dive into the subject matter and engage and discuss with their peers to create ideas and plans during the workshops.
Some feedback from the facilitators and participants:
«Everything was very well prepared! I'm very satisfied with this experience and can see how this type of platforms can become the future of learning in the virtual environment. Thanks!!»(Workshop facilitator)
«The proposed workshop space and shape was very comfortable and created much more of a presence effect than the usual zoom. [...] Thank you very much for this great opportunity!» (Participant)
